ARIES SOLAR ECLIPSE AND NEW MOON

Today is the day. Becoming the dream.

Greetings friends,

For a lack of better words, holy shit. March and eclipse season definitely brought some big things my way and ushered in some necessary but oh-so-uncomfortable lessons. As an Aquarius rising (Aries third house, Virgo eighth house), I have been learning about communication in so many confrontational ways, but honestly, I’m so grateful. Thank you for your patience with me sending this out; to be totally transparent, I had a massive emotional release (*ahem* crashout) last week and could not bring myself to write. 🫠

Anyway, we have just about two days left of this Mercury retrograde and seven more days of the Venus retrograde, and considering the Venus retrograde will also be closed out with our next full moon (which may feel like the actual finale of the Aries-Libra nodal cycle), we can expect to feel a bit more stabilized by the second half of April, and even more so by the beginning of May.

The message of this moon likely feels like it is still lingering, and for good reason. As I mentioned above, the full moon in Libra happening later this month will be the “closing ceremony” of all of this retrograde and eclipse wildness we’ve been moving through. The invitations of this moon may continue to be posed to us through the remainder of the Venus retrograde specifically, so if you find yourself continuing to experience “eclipse fever,” don’t be too hard on yourself. Anyhow, let’s get into this moon conversation.

HERE’S THE BIG PICTURE

This new moon and solar eclipse in Aries is asking us to boldly proclaim who we want to be, but it’s also asking us to follow through on that proclamation with our actions. Aries can talk a big talk, so much so that it can often perceive itself to be all that it says, but this eclipse has likely illuminated to us how we perhaps have not entirely embodied all of the things we claim to be. This eclipse has likely posed us with many experiences that intend to provide us with the opportunity to demonstrate all of the things we wish to be. These experiences undoubtedly require us to have courage, but we’re advised to think of who we want to be; we’re asked to get specific about what we want to identify with and are reminded that, if we want to identify with those things, we must embody them; they can’t be a topical label that we place on ourselves to win praise or admiration.

This eclipse is the final one on the Aries-Libra axis, which spent the time between July 2023 and January of this year teaching us about what being a good person to ourselves and others really means. The Aries-Libra axis is one that addresses individuality and partnership, independence and collaboration, and “me” and “us.” This eclipse happening in Aries likely symbolizes the “new self” that has been born because of all of the experiences that we’ve moved through since this nodal cycle began. Now we are on to the Pisces-Virgo axis (which you can still get the guide for down below), which will be carrying on our development into a higher vibration of love and unity with ourselves, the universe, and those around us.

This eclipse symbolizes all of the potential that we possess, but it is also representative of how we must take action to actualize that potential, or it will remain a useless hypothetical. As eclipses go, we have perhaps encountered fated experiences at this time, and considering Saturn is preparing to conjoin the north node, and Venus is revisiting it also, this may be specifically facilitating conclusions in relationships, both romantic and platonic. The eclipses on the Aries-Libra nodal cycle worked to evolve our understanding of what is required for relationships to thrive, but it also illuminated the wounded mentalities that many of us were operating from to create “synthetic harmony” in our connections with others—through the past nine months specifically, with Lilith in Libra, we likely saw how our avoidance of conflict or habit of “sweeping things under the rug” in our relationships with others is what ultimately led to their downfall. This eclipse in Aries, while in the sign of the “self” and individual identity, is likely representative of the new person we’ve become because of any interpersonal turbulence we’ve experienced in the past year and a half.

Because this eclipse is accompanied by so much water energy (the north node, Venus, Mercury, and Saturn all in Pisces, and Mars still in Cancer), there is also a very spiritual tone to this energetic space. However, with so much Pisces energy, we may find that this “new self” that has been born is not as tangible as we are perhaps hoping for; the newness that we are being made aware of is more of a feeling than anything else, and it may be hard for us to specifically identify what is being birthed in a physical sense. Pisces is the womb, and Aries is birth, so with so much energy in both signs, we are perhaps identifying many contradictory feelings that are causing things in our lives to feel “almost born, but not quite.”

This is likely expressed as a sense that something is around the corner, but we may not have a full material view of what that thing is, but that is exactly what this eclipse calls us to pay attention to. Because Aries is the “first breath” and birth—it is the ignition that starts the car and the explosion that allows the rocket to lift off—this eclipse is symbolic of us gathering the courage to have faith in the intuitive feelings that are swirling around us, so much so that we’re willing to act on it. This new moon may be symbolic of us gearing up to take action, which we may not feel ready to do until Mars has re-entered Leo on the 17th of April, but there is no need to rush ourselves into things despite Aries’s urgent mindset. With Saturn and the north node preparing to make contact, we’re likely gaining maturity and discernment around our intuitive guidance, which means that we’re understanding that there is a time for action and a time for stillness, and constant motion does not equate to constant progress.

All of this being said, this eclipse and new moon is perhaps awakening a part of us that has lain dormant for quite some time—a part of us that dreams of something more and is able to recognize that there will never be a perfect time for that “something more” to be pursued. We may be understanding through this eclipse that the answers we’ve been looking for have been sitting in our laps the entire time—we’ve perhaps been understanding that we’ve been waiting for permission from some unforeseen force to become, do, decide, believe, or actualize something. This eclipse has likely illuminated how we are sitting on limitless potential, and it is up to us for that potential to be made into something concrete and real. Because of this, this eclipse has likely been a space in which many of us have decided to do something, whether that is to start a business, travel to somewhere new, make a change within ourselves, or make today the day that we’re going to finally do that thing we’ve been putting off.

This eclipse reminds us that the day that we accomplish our biggest ambitions and deepest desires will always remain a dream that we will achieve “one day” if we are unwilling to make today “day one.” And that is why this eclipse may feel a bit underwhelming to some; it represents how the first day that we make a change can often feel insignificant or perhaps altogether meaningless. The first day at the gym will likely not result in noticeable differences. The first day of starting a habit may feel relatively meaningless. The first day of starting your own business may not result in notable success. But a first day is necessary for anything to come into existence. This previous nodal cycle has likely shown us the power of decision and trust in ourselves and has encouraged us to tune out the opinions of our peers and expectations of social norms. This eclipse encourages us to embrace and honor the power that we have over our individual lives and encourages us to authoritatively claim our influence over our experiences. From your present perspective, today may be just another regular day, but if you zoom out, it could be the day that is eventually responsible for changing your entire life. With that in mind, how will you wield your power today? What will you do? What is within your grasp to change?

xx, Aspen

UPCOMING LIVE CLASSES

I’m so excited to host these live classes to discuss some of the upcoming transits and shifts in the energetic fabric of our world. If you aren’t able to make it to the live event, the recordings will be available for purchase. Spots are limited!

LIFE HACK: CHANGE YOUR REALITY FROM THE INSIDE OUT - THURSDAY, APRIL 17TH AT 5:00 PM PST

This class will approach manifestation from an entirely different perspective, focusing less on the practices, affirmations, rituals, and mindset, and instead will deconstruct the relationship between the non-material and material planes and how we can manipulate the energetic field to redesign the physical one. This class includes conversation about how Jupiter and Saturn work in the natal chart in the construction of our reality and will also offer valuable insight into how your understanding of both placements and their interaction with one another both natally and in transit can elevate your spiritual and physical life. This class intends to break down the fundamentals of reality construction so that you can more consciously construct the lived experience that you’d like to have.
In this class, we will discuss:

  • How energy mechanics work and how our natural energetic signature is described through the natal chart

  • How to collapse an old reality and design a new one sustainably

  • How to recognize and break free from repeating patterns

ABUNDANCE UPGRADE: JUPITER IN CANCER - SATURDAY, MAY 3RD AT 3:00 PM PST

Jupiter will be moving into Cancer on June 9th and will remain there until June 30th, 2025! This class will outline how Jupiter functions in Cancer, all of the major teachings that Jupiter in Cancer will illuminate, what we can collectively expect from this transit, and how to work with it. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, and considering the north node in Pisces will be governed by this transit for basically the remainder of the nodal cycle beginning in June, this is an especially blessed time for manifestation and intuition development. This class will be insightful for you whether your natal Jupiter is in Cancer or not.
In this class, we will discuss:

  • What Jupiter governs and why it is exalted in Cancer

  • What the Jupiter return means in this sign

  • How this transit will impact each of the signs

  • Significant Jupiter activations and how to work with them

AWAKENING THE DARK FEMININE: LILITH IN SCORPIO || RECORDING

If you missed the live class discussing Lilith in Scorpio, I’ve included the recording below, which is available for purchase.
